      Aplio’s compact design with adjustable console and fully articulating monitor arm enables you to create an ergonomic work environment in virtually any clinical setting.       Aplio ships standard with a DVD writer and USB connection for study documentation and data export.       • Stress Echo

      Aplio offers a comprehensive stress echo package for fast and accurate wall motion assessment. The package supports both standard and user-definable protocols for physical and pharmacological stress. Convenient suspend and shuffle functions allow you to skip views, change their order or even to insert additional investigations among views. Regional wall motion scoring can be done on the system of offline to complete the exam.


      • Flex-M

      Due to a patient’s condition it can be difficult or impossible at times to derive a diagnostic M-mode image at the correct angle. In these cases Aplio’s Flex-M function allows you to ­acquire an anatomically correct M-mode from live or stored 2D images with the same quality and functionality as your are used to from the conventional M-mode, including zoom function and quantitative measurements.



      • Auto IMT

      The intima-media thickness (IMT) of the carotid artery is an important parameter for assessing a patient’s risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Aplio provides you with an easy to use tool to determine the thickness of the intima-media layers of the near and far arterial walls automatically at an optimal angle of incidence and in two complementary planes.

      • Wall Motion Tracking

      Aplio’s Wall Motion Tracking package provides stunning ­visualization and quantitative analysis with unrivaled functionality, accuracy and resolution. Based on raw data, the speckle tracking software reliably calculates parameters such as strain, strain rate or displacement right at the patient’s bedside, in your lab or on the UltraExtend FX workstation.



      • Accurate quantification in just three clicks

      Aplio’s WMT package is powerful, yet easy to use. After setting three reference points – two at the base, one at the apex – the software automatically traces the myocardial borders over the entire cardiac cycle of choice delivering a whole range of regional and global parameters including LV volume and ejection fraction in an instant. WMT is also an ideal tool for the characterization of dyssynchrony in patients with LBBB as well as for optimizing the outcome of CRT.


      • Regional myocardial function

      Toshiba’s Wall Motion Tracking package is applicable to both apical and longitudinal views, allowing you to analyze myocardial wall motion in each segment of the LV in both ­longitudinal and transmural directions. Furthermore, its ­sophisticated algorithm enables you to assess regional strain values individually from the sub-epicardial, mid- and sub-­endocardial layers, giving you more precise information on myocardial viability.



      Speckles, the tiny white spots appearing in ultrasonic images, are interference patterns caused by randomly distributed scatterers. Because speckles follow tissue movement, their motion can be tracked over time by means of pattern recognition. Artida’s unique 3D speckle tracking technology is the first to follow tissue movement in 3D space to quantitatively assess all components of myocardial wall motion.

      Speckles are identified in each frame by means of pattern recognition. In the adjacent frame, the new position of each speckle is determined by an intelligent search-and-match function. The amplitude of movement provides quantitative information about myocardial wall motion.
