      With the Vantage Titan 3T, Toshiba offers a state-of-the-art MRI system that incorporates a wide bore without compromising image quality. The scanner is quiet; because of the Pianissimo technology which features vacuum-enclosed gradients. The intuitive M-Power graphical user interface enables fast, simple and effective operation of the scanner.

       

      The Toshiba Vantage Titan series provides unsurpassed patient comfort by combining a short 1.6 meter magnet with a large 71 cm opening to reduce patient anxiety and to allow 80% of the body to be scanned feet first.

      HOW DOES PIANISSIMO WORK?

      • The gradient coil is vacuum-sealed. In absence of an atmosphere, the coil cannot transmit sound.
      • Soft pulse sequences eliminate sharp edges in gradient waveforms, reducing acoustic noise
      • It incorporates special insulation between the gradient coil and the magnet to dampen sound and minimize the vibrations transmitted to the magnet.

      Vantage Titan 3T uses optimized amplitude and phase transmission called multi-phase transmission. It has the functionality of a multi-channel transmit array, using multiple ports and multiple phases for optimal B1 homogeneity.       Reproducibility of scan planes is often compromised through variation in scan plan by the technician operating the scanner. EasyTech technology addresses this issue. Based on a standard axial scan, the scanner looks for anatomical landmarks and based on these landmarks, it adjusts the scan plan to the appropriate planes.       In conventional MR systems, anatomy-specific coils could not coexist on the table. Consequently, frequent coil exchange made the process tedious and cumbersome to the operators. Therefore, procedure set-up and patient throughput was inefficient.

       

      With the Atlas coil concept whereby the head, spine and body coils are seamlessly combined, boundary-free image acquisition can be performed while dramatically reducing coil exchange time. This results in an improved workflow.
